Mr Scott Campbell AFSM has been a committed RFS firefighter for more than 14 years. He is a Group Captain and senior trainer in the Clarence Valley and has been President of the NSW Rural Fire Service Association since 2021.
He served from 2013 to 2022 as a Trustee on the NSW Rural Fire Service and Brigades Donations Fund, which has been responsible for ensuring that the generous donations given by members of the public around Australia and the world in response to the 2019/20 bush fire season were used to benefit RFS firefighters and the communities they protect. Mr Campbell’s exceptional service has been recognised with the Australian Fire Service Medal (AFSM), which he was awarded in the 2025 Australia Day Honours, a Commissioner’s Commendation for Bravery for his actions during the 2019 Liberation Trail Fire in Nymboida and a Commissioner’s Certificate of Commendation in 2023 for a flood rescue.
Mr Campbell was appointed as an RFS Benevolent Fund Director in 2024. His leadership skills and dedication to RFS members will support the Board’s work to support the membership.
